Rosa N. Jacobs90, Carmel, IN, formerly of Iron Mountain, Michigan, fell asleep in the Lord Sunday, April 29, 2007, at St. Vincent Hospital, Indianapolis. She was born November 10, 1916, in Atlanta, GA. She was predeceased by her husband, Michael Jacobs, in 1979. She is survived by daughter Janice H. (Douglas) Fadel, son Mykle C. (Candis) Jacobs, five grandchildren, Dr. Mykle A. Jacobs, Nicole S. (Derek) Duiser, Andrew M. Fadel , William F. Fadel and Christa M. Fadel, two great grandchildren, Isabella Duiser and Trevor Duiser. She is also survived by her sister Elizabeth Abraham of Atlanta, Georgia, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by 4 brothers and 3 sisters. Rosa was a member of St. George Antiochian Orthodox Church, Indianapolis, and St. Mary Antiochian Orthodox Church, Iron Mountain, Michigan. She was an active member of the Antiochian Orthodox Christian Women’s organizations in both parishes. Prior to retirement she had worked with her husband in their restaurant “Myke’s Drive-In and subsequently at the family Chrysler dealership, Jacobs’ Motors, both in Iron Mountain, MI. Visitation and Vigil will be held Tuesday, May 1, from 4-8 PM with Trisagion Service at 7:00 pm at St. George Church (4020 N. Sherman Drive, Indianapolis, IN 46226) and also on Thursday May 3, from 5-7 PM at Jacobs Funeral Home (1025 Carpenter Avenue, Iron Mountain, MI 49801). Funeral Services will be held at 10AM Friday, May 4, at St. Mary Orthodox Church (311West D Street, Iron Mountain, MI 49801) with interment in Cemetery Park following services. A meal of mercy will be served at St. Mary Orthodox Church following interment. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to either St. George Orthodox Church Development Fund or St. Mary Orthodox Church.
